1. Choose your detail

Popular choices are a first name, a monogram (initials), a date such as an anniversary or birthday, or a pet’s name. Shorter text stitches cleaner and looks more elegant.

2. Pick a thread color

Tone-on-tone looks soft and modern. High-contrast colors read from far away. Screens vary, so treat on-screen colors as approximate.

3. Choose a font

Simple block and script fonts stitch best. Very thin or ornate lettering can lose detail in thread, especially at small sizes.

4. Check the placement

Left chest, sleeve, hem or cap front, depending on the product. Placement options are listed on each product page.

5. Approve your proof

We send a free digital proof for every personalized order. Check spelling, capitalization, spacing and the date format carefully; once approved, we stitch exactly what you see.
